Exploring character creation, acting, and performance in the age of virtual worlds, AI, and robotics.

Creation

Since 2017, Virtual Acting Studio has been investigating the space where acting and emerging technologies meet, moving from virtual reality into motion capture, volumetric capture, digital humans, and avatars. Over time, this practice has shifted toward artificial intelligence, with a particular focus on emotional artificial intelligence and its impact on presence, embodiment, and performance.

Rather than using technology as a tool, the studio treats it as an active counterpart in the creative process—something that shapes, challenges, and extends the work itself. Through research and experimentation, it develops independent projects while engaging in collaborations across disciplines within this evolving field.
